The Gordon Year

Should Gordon Go?

If you know fuck all about Politics, and you read the Daily Mail. Then yes. Brown should go.

If you have an ounce of intelligence, then you know that the World is in the middle of an economic crises. That financially, Britain is alot better off (because of Gordon Brown) than many other nations including America.

He's not a bad Politician, infact, he's a great Politician, not as great as Blair, who (whether you liked him or not) is FACTUALLY the most successful Prime Minister in the past 60 years, ruling over the most prosperous period in British history. Brown just happened to be PM during a time when the World, economically, is fucked. It's not his fault. He has to try different methods to ease the problems, some will fail, some will succeed. The policies that fail, will be hammered in the Press. The ones that succeed, will largely go unnoticed.

That fact, could kill off his legacy. It means Labour look unelectable whilst Brown is in control. Which is bad. The party then start scheming behind his back, which make them look ununified. An ununified party is a killer. The Tories have been a mess for the past fifteen years. All of a sudden they seem united, it makes them look like gold.

"When America sneezes, Britain catches a cold".

Who would take over if Brown went? Cameron? He backs away from any big problems. He hasn't said one thing about how he'd deal with the current Economic down turn. He's a Tory though, which means a bunch of teens who didn't actually live through Thatcher's reign of terror, who now worship Cameron, will automatically think he's a God, regardless of that fact that i've never actually heard him mention economic policy since he became their leader.

We know that the Tories favour Right Winged, free from Government interference markets. We know they think that the Government should tax less, and not provide any public services, because it should be left to the Private sector. But then when this wonderful Private Sector does fuck up, like Northern Rock, or like the current greed of British Gas, it's the Government who are expected to bail them out. Laissez Faire Capitalism does not, and will never work. And so Brown cannot be blamed for the problems this country faces.

Under the last Tory government....

15% inflation rate
No minimum wage
The worst unemployment rates ever.
Negative Equity
Black Wednesday

How do people manage to forget such a bad time? Why do people then suggest that because Thatcher created such a mess, she should have a state funeral? She should be chucked down one of the mines she had closed in the 80s, whilst on fire, covered in the piss of every person who lost their house so she could have office blocks built in their place.

I like the policies Labour have introduced recently to combat knife crime. I like that the families of anti-social kids, will have to sign good behaviour contracts, and have a family social worker assigned o them. I think that's a good start.

It's a shame that it's got to the point that when Brown makes a mistake, like the idea to scrap the 10p tax band (which, is the single reason I will not vote Labour at the next general election) it gets more publicity in our wonderful Press, than when he does something good, like his oil negotiations recently with the Opec nations, it gets completely ignored.

The fundamental reason that there is an oil problem, is because the U.S are on a mission to rid the rest of the World of Nuclear weapons because they consider these countries dangerous, regardless of the fact that the only Country to ever actually use a Nuke...... is the U.S.
It creates a standoff, and so disrupts oil supplies.
When Barack Obama becomes President (which hopefully he will, given that the alternative is a man who could die at any moment), he has an entire heap of Republican economic mess to sort out first. If he doesn't get in, purely because he has a muslim connection, i'm going to ignore all American politics for the rest of my life.

There is no doubt that Brown isn't a very impressive Prime Minister. He doesn't have that charisma that appears to be so important in modern politics. He also actually tries to deal with the major problems facing us, which is his downfall. Cameron ignores the major issues, but he bikes to work, so he's loved.

Brown's cabinet, are shockingly bad. He should reshuffle it. Harriet Harman is the leader of all Parliamentarian liars. She's such a bad liar too. It's like she doesn't even realise how bad she looks when she lies.
Miliband is a scheming little imbecile. I hate the man. He looks about twelve, and runs his department, even worse, to the point where a twelve year old would actually look at it, and say "dude, what the fuck?".
Brown picked a crap cabinet.
That will be his undoing.
